Newport Bay is cleanliness an issue?
Hi All,
Thought I’d made up my mind to book a 3 night stay in October at Newport Bay, however, tonight I’ve been reading reviews on Tripadvisor and I’m now not sure. I know that in general TA reviews need to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially the few that go against the majority but there are quite a few repeated negative comments regarding cleanliness, poor showers and drain smells in some of the rooms and hallways. Could anyone who has stayed at Newport Bay recently tell me their experiences please, just not sure what to do now or which alternative hotel to change to and would really appreciate some help. TIA. |

Stayed there in June and it was fine, apart from the rubbish shower!

Stayed there in November last year, it was perfectly clean and found the shower to be fine. Our only issue was how hot the room was and the useless air conditioning; reception did however provide a pretty good fan.

Sparkling clean when we stayed. The air con was the standard British/European version, ie gentle rather than freezing cold as the Americans like it.
