Not much of a sale. The holiday I've got booked in February is £2000 dearer in the "sale"

Usually get a sale around christmas/new year for all flight levels

they may do an unexpected one between now & then but not guaranteed, they could just reduce prices and not announce it as a sale.

The flights I'm tracking are in fact £300 cheaper today than they have been, but not quite cheap enough for me to book just yet.

I had been keeping an eye on prices for this Xmas on both VH and VA for a while and today the upgrade to PE cost is £3000 more than it was before the sale for our group of 3 adults !

Strangely enough, my V.H. booked in the May Bank holiday sale is exactly the same price today today. I was dreading taking a look!
