Can anyone recommend a nice moderate resort at WDW?

We'd booked to go to the Beach Club this year with upgraded Deluxe Dining Plan in August but obviously that's off the cards.

And because it seems that there's no Dining Plans next year, it will be off too in 2021. We can't justify paying those prices without the Dining Plan.

I sat down and worked out the approximate costs of going to the same restaurants that I'd booked for our 5 nights stay. As we had the Deluxe plan, some of the restaurants are Signature. It came to a whopping $3000!

So probably no BC for us next year

So... what are the nicest Moderates?
We've never stayed onsite before and loved the idea of being able to hop on a short bus journey to get to the parks. And being able to WALK to World Showcase would have been lovely...

They’re all nice. CSR is the closest to feeling like a deluxe.

Coronado Springs Resort. It's the only moderate we haven't stayed at, but they're all really nice. Caribbean Beach has the Skyliner which gives really quick and easy access to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot. It drops off at the World Showcase entrance which makes it great for eating there. Last year our son would pop over just to get a bao bun from one of the food stalls in Japan (F&W was on).

I'd happily stay at all of them, but if you're looking for a more deluxe feel, then from what I've read, Coronado Springs offers that. It's a convention resort, so they have to cater for the business customer as well as the tourist, so the room specs are a little higher.

Thanks all. We would save £1200 staying at CSR as opposed to the Beach Club.

We've stay at the Carribean Beach Resort and Port Orleans Riverside both we lovely. The boat to Disney Springs from POR was lovely and though it wasn't open while we were there last year I can imagine it's a great benefit.

We were/are staying at CBR and was/am looking forward to trying the skyliner.

Port Orleans Riverside
Port Orleans French Quarter

We love Riverside but would stay at either, and we are regular Beach Club bookers. Riverside is our ‘go to’ moderate.
