I see Ice Breaker has the totally unnecessary shoulder straps like the other Premier Rides launched coasters at Busch Gardens Tampa and Williamsburg. The picture doesn't really do justice to what a faff they are as they are just a loose floppy strap that you have to lift to get into the seat. All the other rides with the same train design that have been built don't have them! The only thing they achieve is slowing down the loading and unloading process.
Hopefully BG won't be as slow with the seatbelt/lap bar combo as they were on the original Gwazi - it will be a very popular ride and with a pretty low capacity compared to their other large roller coasters I suspect there will be a case for buying quick queue for a change. |
