09.06.2019 - Staying with Friends in Sacramento Part 2

Travelling this time was DH (54) - driver/eater/moaner/petrol head/biker

Me (51) - navigator/planner/booker/spreadsheet creator/feeder

So this morning started pretty early considering last night!

I found out what happened to my camera last night too. Apparently RhiRhi had asked to borrow it, and this is a small sample of the results

Today we were off into Old Town Sacramento for a spot of sight seeing, so as soon as the headache tablets kicked in, and Chris managed to get out of bed, we jumped into a Lyft for breakfast at the Dog & Duck

Typical Brits on holiday! We had the full English!

It was steaming hot outside already, and there was a pride event going passed, so I got DH to wave his flag. Not impressed!

Back in another Lyft and onto the second drink of the day.

Back out into the sunshine we walked along the Waterfront

Before popping into another bar

Back into a Lyft for a ride to Folsom to visit the Fat Rabbit. Yes that is another pub!

Phew this drinking is exhausting

Back at the house and we had to retreat to the mancave when the mid afternoon sun hit 106 degrees!

Don't worry though, this is the fridge in the mancave

Once the sun started to go down we were back in the garden for more cocktails, and Chris got some ribs on the BBQ

Which were eaten inside

Not too surprising the evening ended a bit like this

This time Chris was the first to bed

Sacramento looks nice, but I bet you were all shattered!
