Mobile Cooking dinners

I’m sick of it.

I don’t think I’m a good cook at all but I am getting so fed up of bothering.

Would rather eat takeaway every night as it never seems to go right!

Ok. After venting, sometimes my dinners go great. Made amazing chilli last night and nice quiche last week. Tonight I am cooking frozen oven chips (I didn’t buy them they need using from freezer. I like ActiFry ones) and frozen pie. Haven’t attempted my own home cooked pie.
They are two different temperatures. No problem we have a double oven. Pre heat everything. Put them in at the same time as they need to be and 30 mins later the chips are cooked and the pie is half cooked.

Urgh! Really hope it’s not just me that this happens to. It would be great if it was a once in a blue moon type of thing but no either my dinner is awful or something goes wrong with it at least twice a week.

I loath cooking dinner. If someone had told me as a teenager that i’d be responsible for providing a cooked meal for 4 people 7 days a week - i’d Have run a mile! If only we could afford to employ a chef 🤣.

By the way, I cook everything at 180 degrees in the fan oven and it all comes out edible.

I’m surprised 30 minutes for a frozen pie is enough to make sure it’s thoroughly heated through .
I enjoy cooking but planning is the key .
Can DH watch the children and you have a baking day ? Simple things like lasagne , sweet and sour chicken using a jar of sauce , bolognese , mashed potato can all be frozen and just take them out the night before to save you time every night.

180 degrees for me every time too. I never use the top open (1/2 oven and grill) except to grill, it never gets hot enough and doesn't have a fan.

I hate cooking but to avoid long faces and or hungry kids and DH, I make them draw up a rough menu choice for the week, I get the shopping delivered and cook it.

A lot of people enjoy cooking... it relaxes them... I’m NOT one of them people...I loathe it... my husband can only eat chicken or fish.. the only fish I eat is fish fingers! Trying to do different stuff is really hard...I do spag Bol for him using vegetarian mince...but I can’t stand it... I do end up with a takeaway.

Pie and chips. I’d put them in at the same temp. Neither will suffer from being slightly high.

Did the pie not say 1 hour and the chips 25 minutes? I would have expected a pie to take longer than chips.

I also hate cooking but don’t mind something like pie and chips as you can put them in and forget them.

We have about 10 easy things that we make over and over. I’d like to be more creative but I’m just not.

I love cooking food from scratch, but hate cooking frozen food, I don’t know how people find frozen food easy, I hate it! So much easier to cook a chilli or a curry from scratch!

I hate it with a vengeance and just wasn’t cut out to cook! When I win euromillions the first thing on my list is a chef
