Where would you go for a solo birthday dinner?
So, I haven’t actually booked the trip yet, but I’m planning to be in Orlando for my birthday in May on yet another solo trip. I’m struggling for inspiration for a special birthday meal for one and the ADR window opens soon... so throw your perfect meal ideas at me please!
I thought about V and A, but the menu doesn’t really appeal to me so probably not worth that amount of money! |

California Grill maybe or Citricos (depending on the refurb dates).

As a fellow solo visitor I'd go to a restaurant I'd already been to and knew I liked. I'm not into what I call 'posh' food though.

No problem, if you want special and a change from Disney restaurants I also highly recommend Capa at The Four Seasons.

I’m not great with ‘posh’ food either 😁 however, none of the places I’ve dined at previously have been great enough to want to have my birthday there. I am contemplating being a big child and going to beaches and cream (never been able to get in before) followed by jelly rolls... but I’m interested to find out where other people would go for a slightly more special than normal meal.
Which restaurant would you choose? |

We've had some really nice meals at Trattoria al Forno - it's just along the Boardwalk from Jellyrolls. There's some pictures in my last food report.

If you aren't keen on "posh" food I wouldn't consider V & A. It is also a very long meal with multiple courses and not something you would probably enjoy solo unless you were a serious foodie.
If you aren't on DDP, we have always really enjoyed Blue Zoo at the Dolphin.

I will be 50 in April and I will be with hubby but just the two of us. I will be in New York on my big day, but at one point I thought we would be at Disney and I really fancied Cinderella’s Royal Table for a meal. I don’t think the food is all that, but I thought being a 50 year old princess would be fun and I would wear a massive badge.

What about the Hoop Dee Doo?
It is comfort rather than posh food and is different from any other dinner at Disney. It is a fun evening. Or forget dinner and book a dessert party. |
