I was just wondering, is there such a thing anymore? There was a time on the Dibb when this was a very popular way of getting a great deal to Orlando. I did this in the past but don't really see it mentioned anymore. Is it just that its a victim of its own popularity and now the airlines have increased the prices on those routes? Thanks

It still exists, but the deals are not as easy to come by, and the bigger savings tend to be in premium cabins. The originating cities for these fares vary, and of course there are limitations/complexities because most of the Florida flights from London are from Gatwick.
The more popular one a few years ago was using Dublin. BA in particular was offering very low fares in competition with Aer Lingus. Now that IAG (BA’s owner) owns Aer Lingus, there is no reason to undercut them. Edited at 12:11 AM. |

Yes it still exists, we did it this summer via Dublin and will be doing it again next year. As already mentioned the greatest savings are when you are flying business class.
