Oh people definitely want a passport. They are a high ticket black market item. They also want money and CC. So they’ll take any and all of it.

I leave ours in the hotel safe. Yes there is a risk of an employee stealing, but less chancy than having them on me. If it’s travel day we keep them on us in a Running Buddy pouch. Buddy Pouch X-Large amazon/dp/B00PUO6K..._G7y0DbB7B72KX We use these for all kinds of travel, to carry our stuff in theme parks, phones and passports through airports. Hubby uses them while running. They’re much more comfortable than a money belt, and safer than a waist pouch. We’ve been using them for about 5 years now.
