I have just recently purchased an iphone XS and I'm having problems sending messages to people who don't have an iphone. I've changed network, from O2 to Three. I'm getting 2 or 3 bars in top right corner. The messages are sending (or not) in blue bubbles and there's a red ! mark with "not delivered" in red too, however the messages are sometimes being sent okay when they say they aren't (I'm occasionally getting replies back!) which makes no sense

Go in to Settings>Maeeages and make sure that the options to send as SMS when iMessage not available is turned on.

Thanks, I did try that but still wouldn’t work. I ended up phoning Three and they did a reset their end which seems to have worked. I assumed it was a setting on the phone that was wrong.
