What exciting things have you got lined up for summer?

DS and DDIL were married abroad in April so we have their "homecoming" party in Glasgow in 2 weeks. Lucky them - It's just like a second wedding.

We have other DS turning 30, my Dad turning 90 and Mum & Dad's 65th wedding anniversary all the same fortnight as the party.

Then DH & I are off to Edinburgh for two overnights courtesy of hotel points. Once at the Kimpton Charlotte Square to see Alexandra Burke in the Bodyguard and in August a night at The George to see the Tattoo.

Then we are off to Italy - Tuscany, then Lake Como.

Busy summer - hope the weather improves.

We have a street party planned. The road is being closed off, we are are bring different types of food and drink. One of the neighbours has made a lot of wooden games for the kids to play and a other neighbour has his drumming band playing. Just hope for sunshine

House - there is decking and fencing to be completed, I started it in February but as it's my first go at doing this it's taking a while.

Holidays - did Universal late January and off to see Muse play at the Olympic Stadium in Rome next month and seeing the sights. Lake Garda in September for 5 days and a second trip to Florida in December. Just realised that I've written up my year not just summer

First day of the holiday we are off to the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent. The one off the telly. They only have a couple of open days a year. Very excited.

Then it's 10 days in Normandy with brother and his family. Very historic and will get to see the 75th celebrations. Family has property there.

I am sure once back in London there will be an afternoon tea/spa day with DD and another zoo visit. She is studying endangered species for her A level fine Art.

Then 28 August laptop out as FP day. Yay.

We did the big cat sanctuary open day last year, but cant go this year as going on hols as soon as kids break up. Really fab day out, the keepers sometimes took our cameras so that we got pics without fences. Lovely marketplace for animal lover purchases too. Have a great time.
