Mobile TUI - Extra Space Seats VS Extra Leg Room?!

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know the difference between these? I have read up about them and I understand that extra seat space is sat at the beginning of a row, near exit doors and extra leg room is obviously extra leg room(2 inches).

We feel like extra seat space sounds better but it's actually cheaper which is making us question it.

Also if we select extra space seats, it says you cant be under the influence of alcohol obviously due to emergencies reasons, etc.
Would they still serve us alcohol or not?

Any help or advice will be appreciated. Thankyou 😁😁😁

The extra space seats on the Tui flights are rows 10 and 30. Row 10 is a bulkhead, whereas row 30 has lots of legroom on the side window seats. The problem with row 30 is that it is right next to the toilets, and even the middle row has problems with people using it as a walkway. There are always people standing in front of you waiting for the toilet and it is also noisy with the flushing and the door closing etc. The extra space seats have the tv in the armrest, making the seat narrower, whereas the extra legroom armrest lifts up to give more room. Although the extra legroom are at the rear of the plane, meaning you are last off, doesn't make a huge difference at Sanford as it's usually much quicker than MCO. We like the extra legroom seats, but would go for row 10 if they were available. They will serve you alcohol.

Don’t know about alcohol but extra space seats are slightly narrower since the tv is in the armrest. I guess they might be cheaper because children under 16 I think it is can’t sit there. From a practical point of view these are bulkhead and tend to be next to toilets so fellow passengers seem to think they have a right to loiter in front of you which can be annoying.
Extra legroom seats are at the very back of the plane so you are at the back of the immigration queue.

We had the extra space seats which are emergency exit seats. If you are not travelling with kids these are better than extra legroom seats. You are still served alcohol. There are only a few of these seats on board (8 I think) On the Dreamliner we were on, the seat nearest the exit isn’t classed an extra space as the bulk of the exit comes out too far. You have people waiting for the toilets near you but it’s worth it for the free legroom. There are a lot more extra legroom seats (kids can have these too) but there didn’t seem to be a lot more room than normal. In fact when the Dreamliner first came out I think the extra legroom seats were the normal pitch for everyone. They since added seats making everyone’s pitch smaller.

We have just come back from Mexico after sitting in the extra space seats row 30. I agree with most of what you say, however I wouldn’t book them again. Found the position of the toilets very intrusive with people congregating and taking up my legroom. The seats are narrow and very short so not comfy. I probably wouldn’t go for extra legroom either as these didn’t seem much different from the normal seats 😳.
Would have preferred row 10, although probably not as much legroom but no people standing queuing in front.
DH who normally just puts up with any seats as falls asleep straight away said it was the worst long haul flight we’ve had!

So would you all say extra leg room is the better option?

If I were to fly TUI again then I would book extra space seats for the way out and extra legroom for the way home.
Being in extra legroom seats at the rear of the plane we waited over 2hrs at the back of the queue in immigration at Sanford so for the benefit of getting out of the airport asap I would do as above.

we paid for the extra legroom seats the other year. wish i hadn't. they werent really that much bigger, and the were all in the back half of the plane. given the choice, i'd take a normal seat somewhere up front so i could be off the plane and in the immigration queue as soon as possible...
