In this months Which? Magazine there is another article about travel insurance. So I thought I would jot down the details of the best buys for you.

Single Trip, USA 17 days, Family Cover:

James Hampden Freedom Plan £46.20
www.jameshampden.co.uk
JourneyWise Supercover £48.30
www.journeywise.co.uk
Primary Direct Superplus Plan £49.40
www.primarydirect.co.uk

Annual Policies, Worldwide, Family Cover:

Primary Direct Super Plan £64.35
www.primarydirect.co.uk
Options Premier Plus £64.50
www.optionsinsurance.co.uk
Direct Travel Standard £65.00
www.direct-travel.co.uk

The report also highlights companies who are good for covering people with existing medical problems.

If you have any questions or want more info, let me know.

Tim,

Journeywise didn't do too well with the baggage claim did they?  I wouldn't mind but I'm using them and also recommended them based on the old recommendations from Which? last year.

they are excellent prices - I can't remember who I've used but it was £94 for a family annual policy.

We used JourneyWise last trip - but I guess you never find out how good they are until you need to claim. Thankfully we never needed to claim.  <img src="http://www.purple-paw.com/~disneybb/iB_html/non-cgi/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':co'>

I think it goes without saying; that what ever policy you look at - read the small print.
