We all know just how great it is in Orlando, don't we .
It's not ALL 100% though is it? I'm not talking Disney bashing here! (Heaven Forbid ,) but the one place I would definitely NOT go back to is... HOOTERS... Yuk .
The staff were lovely, they even exchanged one meal, free of charge cos DS just couldn't bring himself to partake of it
It's just that none of us liked the food, so it was a unanimous Thumbs-down I'm afraid
Anyone else?

Well, the worst feel for us was in '99 when we went to Pizza Hut in Palm Parkway!

I can't say it's my favourite place to eat over here, however, it generally fills a gap and is reasonably priced.

The meal in '99 was AWFUL. It worked out to be (for what we had) one of our most expensive meals and the service was truly appalling. The kids couldn't eat their pasta and my pizza had certainly seen better days - never again!!

The one place that consistantly pops up as an iffy experience is Dennys.

They are everywhere and all seem to have problems with staff or food or if your on a roll both , .

The only one we've had a consistant meal at is the big silver 50s style one up by the Wal Mart at John Young and Sand Lake.

Ponderosa up near Splendid China on 192..wasn't great, bit scuffy and food spilled round the buffet area, we didn't return as we like Sizzler more. Also, I wouldn't go back to Golden Corral on 192 for the same reason.

We thought we'd try the Golden Corral as it had been recommended many times. I thought it was great for kids - there seemed to be even more junk to offer them , but we always return to Sizzler.

Any other breakfast buffets you can recommend?, Apart from Western Steer!

We like Shoneys...for breakfast up near Splendid China.

We had some great breakfasts at Bob Martin when we in SC last year they weren't buffet style. I think there is one on I-Drive.

we weren't very impressed with Denny's, it was ok but nothing special (that was on I-drive)

but we hated Ponderosa - but in it's defense, I think we went to the world's biggest Ponderosa and we had just landed from our flight and so we were exhausted at the time, but it was just so nosy and busy and confusing - I can't even remember the food, I think it was probably ok, but the atmosphere was stressful.

For a good non buffet breakfast, try any Waffle house, can looka bit flaky from outside, but deliver the trus non touristy US diner experience.
Had fairly second rate meals at Ponderosa on 192 and Perkins on 192. Not horrendous, just disappointing .

I don't think we have ever had 'bad' food in Florida, although the breakfast buffet at the Quality Inn Plaza was not much cop. I had some hash browns, and when I cut one a river of grease flowed out - yuk It was expensive compared to the Ponderosa / Sizzler buffets too.

I was a bit dissapointed with Boatwrights at POR. The food was OK but nothing special - and it was blooming expensive for what you got. Cheapest wine was $25 a bottle! I think we had high expectations of eating there, which weren't really fulfilled , Meal for 4 (DDs had childrens meals) was $125 - and we didn't have a starter!
