There is also a long post (angry plus video) on Virgin FB page from a pax on that flight which I saw yesterday

It seems your delay was the worst one today. The LGW ones were not bad. Glasgow was a bit late
You will be landing at 5.17 instead of 1.55. Don't forget to claim your compensation.

What is the process for this? Never had to claim before (which I suppose is a good thing!)

Virgin are superb and I suspect you may even find they do it for you automatically unlike Tui et al who will fight you until the bitter end!

If VA don't give you a letter or tell you about it give it a few days and I will tell you how to make the claim, it's really easy and as I say VA will pay up ASAP without a fight.

Super - we did book through Trailfinders if that makes a difference? I will certainly be in touch. Should go towards our December trip! Thank you

It matters not which 3rd party you booked through. Plus the time is not calculated on 'wheels down' landing. The landing time is the exact time they open the aircraft door so make sure you check that correctly.

We've heard nothing from Virgin Atlantic - I would be really grateful for your advice on how to make a claim! Thank you

I find Virgin excellent. In your situation I would complete this form on their website.
