Tell me about your microwave!
Would you buy it again?
I’m in the market for a new one, just a simple countertop one. It doesn’t need to bake, grill, or make yoghurt! It doesn’t matter what colour it is. |

I bought this one recently and I’m very happy with it. It’s unusual because there’s no turntable inside, it’s just a flat base. It makes it more spacious inside and easier to clean.

My dad bought me mine, a Matsui in 1990 and it still works. Nothing fancy just defrost and cook

Non digital microwaves are best as they have much less to break. You should replace your microwave semi regularly anyway as they corrode.
So we just buy the simple microwaves from Asda etc, we just went for white but for an extra fiver you can get black etc.

Thanks for this! I’m having my kitchen done in May and I plan to set up a little work area in another room where I can make coffee, prepare a sandwich and microwave a ready meal for my dinner. I currently have a built in microwave so I’m looking to get an inexpensive one while the kitchen is being done. This one is perfect.

I look on microwaves as throwaway items when they break, not worth repairing. As I only warm food up in it I just buy the cheapest one.

Mines an AEG built in type. It sings and tap dances (apparently!) but I only ever use it to warm beans or my coffee when I forget about it and it gets too cool.

Do a bit of look between Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Asda. They are all the same thing. We just went Asda because it was cheapest that weekend.
My partner runs a catering shop and buys these too
