A quarantine would definitely mean cancellation for us. At the moment though I’m just concerned about the reduced experience vs the cost. October half term isn’t cheap. I might have a look at the trip reports to see what people are saying

Yes, we could cope with quarantine in the UK when we get home (we have another 10 days' leave booked after our trip as we plan to visit family - but we could cancel the visit, and then take another 4 days' leave if we had to).

The clincher would be if we had to quarantine when in France. That would be reason enough to cancel.

We were due to go on the 23rd September but cancelled it a couple of days ago. We had been holding off in case the FCO advice changed - quarantining here would be fine, but travelling when the FCO advises against it would’ve felt irresponsible (to us, I know many on here feel otherwise), but when our hotel’s reopening got delayed on top of everything else we just decided to cancel and be done with it. Gotten everything back bar the train fare, for which we have vouchers to use in the next 12 months, so can’t fault the service really 😊 Going to Center Parcs now instead, looking forward to a relaxing break and a change of scenery 😊

I think there are places in the UK that are far riskier than DLP at present.

Agreed, but there were so many other factors going against it - second hotel change since booking, insurance not covering us since DLP accidentally cancelled our original booking (instead of refunding just the run entries), not being able to go from Ashford as planned, direct trains possibly not running by then, quarantine, the FCO thing, having to wear masks (rightly so, but they’re not the comfiest things to have to wear all the time)... Center Parcs just looked like a safer bet (and a fraction of the cost!)

I am desperate to go but I'm not going until (a) we don't have to wear masks the whole time (I hate them!) (b) FastPasses are back and (c) buffets reopen.

I think some of the buffets are open (Plaza Gardens and Cafe Agrabah are). But the menu is now platters, you ask for the ones you want and you can have more.

it will probably stay that way for a long time.

i don't tend to eat on site, or stay on site and hopefully with the restricted numbers it should be fairly quiet
