A really great film. Fantastic acting by Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce. You don't need to be religious to appreciate this film.

Yeah, we watched it at Christmas in Florida; very good.

If you like �Pope� themed TV, have you watched The Young Pope (season 1) & The New Pope (season 2); Jude Law is the young Pope in both & John Malkovich is the new Pope in the 2nd season.
HBO programme, shown on Sky Atlantic.
We loved them; very tongue in cheek at times (the New Pope, who used to be an eyeliner wearing punk, telling Sharon Stone not to uncross her legs during her audience with him and the Young Pope, Lenny, whose drink of choice is a Cherry Coke Zero, striding along the beach in a pair of papal white skimpy swimming trunks!).
