licence
sorry another question ok I know I can apply for the licence from England, so if I take it with us to the venue we get married at what happens after that do they then send it to the courthouse or do we have to take it? also if the venue send it to the courthouse will the courthouse then post it to our address in endland

Or you can do it yourself by going to the courthouse.

The courthouse will then post your completed licence to you which you can then use to change your name here etc

Timing is the issue as you can only apply 60 days (i think) in advance and it has to be sent from the USA which can take a long time. We have heard of people not getting it. You also need to go to a notary which can be expensive.

If you take the signed licence back to the courthouse, you get your marriage certificate there & then.
