Whats on your bedside table?

I have been looking online for inspiration and the bedrooms are clutter free with beautiful matching lamps on the bedside tables/cabinets.

My bedside table end up with my current book, my lip vaseline tin, glasses, phone, hair scrunches & nail file 🙈

My husband’s has his phone, watch charger, aftershave, mason’s nintendo & masons reading book 🤷

In other words they are a mess! When my bedroom make over is complete I want them to look nice but in reality will they stay that way!?!?!?
Lamps would be dust collectors because we do not use lamps.

Our bedside tables each have 3 drawers so anything messy goes in there.
Mine has a lamp, a Jim Shore ornament of Ariel and a stand holding my pearl necklaces. DH's has a lamp and a photo.

I think it depends on whether you want a real life bedside table or an instagramable, not quite so real version!

Ours have lamps on and I agree, they just collect dust and we never turn them on. I think a nice scented candle would be better, would look pretty and give off a bit of a scent, even if unlit.

Mine is scattered with a few small soft toys, a lamp, a dish with bits of jewelry on and my alarm clock. DH's side has the lamp (complete with dust), an old beano from the 90s... i know... lol, his watch and glasses when he takes them off at night. Oh and a bedtime juice (ie vimto!).

Best not to venture on what is inside our bedside drawers, that is a whole other thread haha

We always use our bedside lamps, I thought everyone did.

Candles seem to massively collect dust unless lit regularly.
Mine isn’t the tidiest, we use lamps so have a lamp, phone charging mat, hairbrush, daily medications and hair bobbles etc... mine has drawers but it has my pj’s in, DH’s is actually tidier despite being a right scruff because his junk is in his drawers

We have a lamp on each bedside table, we do use these as I hate having the ceiling lights on because it’s too bright!

And we have a coaster each, plus our Apple Watch chargers.

Anything messy goes into the drawers of the bedside table.

Mine has a lamp (which l use every day) and my kindle, that's all.

Mine has lamp, coaster, water bottle, box of tissues and hand cream. When in bed it also has my phone and Kindle.
DH has lamp, coaster, water bottle, tissues and reading glasses. When in bed his also has his phone and Kindle and his false teeth in a container
