Option B - If your flights home are late in the evening, then go to Universal at the end of your stay. You wouldnt have a full day on your second day though.
Only thing with option A is if you get a delay on your way out.

Good thread 👍🏻👍🏻... we are at Disney BC 02/01/20-16/01/20 and was looking to book 2 nights at a Universal hotel weekend of 10/01-12/01 as it’s the Run Disney Marathon weekend! I was thinking it made sense to have express passes at a busier time in parks as opposed to using them when queues are low!

I have never seen a low queue and I don’t travel in school holidays or peak times. My rationale for suggesting they don’t go to universal at the weekend was because they only have one night / two days there versus twelve days at Disney. So personally I would try to get a quieter day and make the most of it, an express pass queue is generally not as quick as a Disney fast pass queue I have found.

I've booked a one night stay at Royal Pacific to take advantage of express fasses at end June (Mon night stay) - I found Expedia reasonable and also booked through Quidco to get 9% cashback after our stay.

Thanks everyone!

I am tempted to book Sunday night so we have the busy Sunday day at universal with FOTL passes when i know Disney will be one if its busiest days but then also the Monday day for the FOTL pass to which i expect to be quieter.

This will be our only hit of Universal we have POFQ for the 14 nights and just leaving the room empty for one night to come to universal.

When I booked mine I had read that most people will arrive in Orlando on a weekend and the natural thing to do is go to Disney first and then by about Thursday people think about going to Universal. I have no idea if this is true but we went on a Monday- Tuesday. I still found it busy even thought the crowd calendar said moderate but with the fast passes it was fine we did everything we wanted to do in 2 days.
