I'm a lot more positive about our booking for June 2021 since the vaccine news, I'm still not 100% as I keep thinking maybe its slightly too close to the vaccination rollout for things to be completely normal.

We don't mind a few restrictions but just hoping its simple things like masks in shops. Although seeing some of these great prices with BA/Virgin make me annoyed at how much TUI charged us when changing our booking, I will definitely think twice before booking TUI again.

Welcome aboard the dibb !
I am expecting that at least some places will offer an option to pay for a vaccine ahead of your expected time in the national queue. That said We're booked for August, and that couple of months I think will help massively.

I reckon you’ll be fine for August. We’re mid-April and I think we have a 50/50 chance. If it does fail, it’s August I’ll be looking to rebook for.

I had an email this morning from Audley travel with next year's brochures. Email said they expect USA travel to be back in April. No idea where they are getting that and I certainly wouldn't be taking it to the bank but I think that's the first positive bit of travel news to land in my inbox this year so I'll take it!

I've been reading up and there won't be any options to pay for the vaccine. They're all to be done via the NHS.

I noticed in an article yesterday that rapid testing is being organised at MCO and is scheduled to be available through the end of July 2021. Perhaps a small beacon of hope for near normality in August!?

If it's well managed, being centrally managed is a good thing. It would be nice to know they are getting them out at a suitable pace that my demographic is reeached by early summer.
