Virgin cancellation update

I've just seen the discussion that flights are being cancelled in mid December... I thought it sounded a bit early, then realised it's 2 weeks away ! This covid is playing havoc with my sense of time passing!

MCO Airport website now shows virgin flights not resuming until 5th February from both Manchester and Heathrow

I've been checking most days waiting for ours to be cancelled and checked this morning and it was cancelled - we were due to go the 17th December. We had already cancelled the villa and lost the deposit and had decided not to pay the balance of our Virgin Holiday flydrive part as we knew it would be cancelled. I've clicked the button for a refund so hoping we get our deposit back within the 60 days. Let's hope we can all enjoy a bit of the magic next year.

...and that will only happen if the CDC decide to add it to the approved list of airports to accept foreign travellers.

Keep logging into your accounts as they update the status.Today they have told me the date I will be refunded from.

Got email today cancelling holiday on the 25th December , oh well hopefully next year 😭 three holidays cancelled this year eff you 2020 😭😭😭

By the time I received the email from Virgin which was at 630pm today I had requested a refund on my Virgin account yesterday.

Were you going from Manchester? If yes we would have been same flight.

It says now my refund is due 20/12 week.

Not the required 14 days but I’ll be happy enough with that.
