Last Christmas - The film

Didn't see this last year so waited till it turned up on Sky this week. OH is a big George Michael fan, I can enjoy a good Christmas movie.

We managed 45 minutes. Couldn't bear to watch any more. Where for a start were the George Michael songs. I heared two in the bit we watch. Our main character was not likeable at all. Why on earth had Emma Thompson given herself an accent I could not hear and struggled to undstand.

I got that the film was a redemption journey. Our hero would see the error of her ways and become a better person. The whole she has/had an illness would be explained. I have no idea of the end but perhaps last christmas was a statement rather than the name of a song. I presume there would be more George Michael before the end.

I had less than an hour to go but that seemed too long a time.

That's a shame l really enjoyed it. There was GM music throughout the film. I agree Emma T's accent was annoying but I could overlook it . Cant say much more in case of spoilers

We watched it last night and loved it.

I won’t give spoilers but I had no idea of the storyline and sobbed my heart out. Lots of GM songs and a great, fun film.

I watched this Friday and cried my eyes out, I also watched it on Saturday and cried even more. Good film, something different from the usual girl meets boy, happy ever after Christmas film.

I saw it at the cinema last year and nearly walked out. Really struggled with the first half of the film but it was worth persevering and did like the second half much better.

I loved it and I love Emila Clarke, also liked her in Me before you. Cheesy feel good film which takes you away from all the horrible things at the moment!

Saw it when it came out last year and loved it. Those watching it, did you realise his sisters are in the final scene?

Are they George Michaels sisters? I saw Andrew Ridley in the final scene which I thought was a nice touch!
