The parks definitely get busier from Memorial Day onwards for a few days which is at the end of May but early June the crowd levels drop a little. All manageable especially with fast pass. We stay at one of the universal hotels for one night for the express passes. Even without my lot are late risers so we go into the parks mid afternoon and stay late. Always get on things with minimal queuing. 30 mins is our absolute max!

Thanks for your advice everyone. I'm torn as when to go now. I have the option of 2 weeks 15th May or 2 weeks on 28th May. In people's own experience whom have been on these dates which would you say is the quietest? It's cheaper to go 28th May but most of the crowd planners say that from June onwards the parks are extremely busy.

If I had the choice I’d go for 15th May as crowds usually lighter. Weather usually better too (less rain) however, this year mid May was very wet so it can’t be guaranteed!
