Mobile Picnics in Parks

Hi

Apologies I’m sure this has been asked lots before but I’ve had a hunt through posts and can’t find anything.

Is it possible to take food and drinks in to the parks? I can’t recall!

Thank you 😊

Disney is fine. I’m pretty sure Seaworld is a no. And I’m not sure about universal

Disney is fine but they have a restriction on the size of bags you can take in if you were thinking about taking in a coolbox on wheels.

Great thank you! Will only be a little bag!
I remember having food taken off me last time... it might have been universal!

Universal are slightly stricter - "Please note the following guidelines:
Acceptable Items
Bottled Water (maximum 2 liters)
Small snacks that do not require heating
Any food required for medical purposes and medically-indicated nutritional supplements
Any food required for special dietary needs
Baby food/baby formula
Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
Prohibited Items
Glass containers
Open containers
Hard-sided coolers
Soft-sided coolers larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
Picnic lunches
Food that requires heating or refrigeration
Folding chairs ! "

We had no problems with sandwiches etc but as my DH is celiac classed as medical purposes but were not allowed to take in cans of juice. At Sea World, Aquatica or Busch Gardens you are only allowed small snacks in individual size portions and small plastic water bottles unless baby food or medical needs.

Thank you! My son is dairy intolerant that’s why I’m wanting to take bits in with me this time, we don’t have a letter on anything to say it’s for medical reasons though!

I'm sure we took sandwiches, fruit etc into Universal 2 years ago.
Thanks for the heads up though, maybe we will just take our lunches to Disney Parks next year!

They're quite contradictory guidelines really... You could argue that a picnic lunch is made up of "small snacks that do not require heating". So you CAN bring them in but NOT if you call them a picnic?! lol

We have never had. Problem taking sandwiches into universal in the past and small snacks all in a cool bag. If security did check they would say enjoy your sandwiches and asked what the fillings were
