Who really would love to have the normal Christmas?

I have a very small circle of family that I am in contact with (just the four of us) and my partner has a very small family too so our Christmas days have always been rather quiet.

We usually alternate so last year we went to my partner’s nan’s and there were the seven of us and then this year it’s my families turn.

As my mum is in our bubble, she will be at our house for Christmas Day as planned so nothing has changed really. We are hosting Christmas Day at our house for the first time which will be interesting.

I'll miss it so much. Normally we all get together. 18 of us 😰. Can be chaotic but I love it. Will feel very quiet just me and husband on our own. Will miss seeing all my nieces and nephews running wild 😅

To be honest, we always have a big Christmas, usually 14 of us for dinner here, but I am quite happy to it just be the 6 of us this year. We are very fortunate that my parents live with us, so we still get to have Christmas day with them. My DH is a policeman and working all over Christmas, as long as we're all safe and well, i'm happy to downplay it this year x
