Tui Premium August price

I’ve just had a winter holiday cancelled by Tui. They’ve offered me an extra 40% of the price of my holiday to change to another package. I’ve not flown tui for years and certainly not in the summer holidays. Their prices feel very expensive. Is £925 each for premium too much? I know it will be Melbourne airport in 2022 but we can deal with that. Is that a good price for the summer holidays (back before September)?

I think you pay top dollar for the Tui flights anyway but if it saved you from travelling to say a London airport and overnight stay etc then it’s more comparable. I had cancelled flights in august from Newcastle and paid over £800 and that wasn’t premium

It’s from Manchester so there are usually other options from the north west rather than having to think about flying from London. The price breakdown suggests the premium upgrade is £322 (which I think is a lot) and so £603 would be the standard price (not bad for direct in august).

It’s a long time since I flew Tui and upgraded to premium but it was closer to £200 extra. I’d have jumped at £600 for convenience and many suggest economy on Dreamliner is better than economy with others. I suppose it comes down to what contributors here often say - if you’re happy with the price that’s all that matters

We have changed our Xmas holiday to the canaries to Orlando 2022 with Tui as we didn’t fancy trying to get tested on Xmas eve. The upgrade to premium was about £400pp! We decided it wasn’t worth it and booked extra legroom.
