Are we the only ones to have a loft full of teddies, baby clothes, xmas stuff etc? Where are you going to put it?!
We have cupboards under the eaves the length of the room if you know what I mean. We also still have a loft over the back of the house but that's mostly taken up by the cold water tank.

We have so much storage space and it’s all easily accessible. We have the large cupboard- which is equivalent to a small room at the side of the en-suite and then a large corridor that runs behind the fitted wardrobes. Plenty of space for toys/books/clothes/suitcases/Christmas trees.

We had a loft conversion 20 years ago (bedroom and ensuite) and as munmum said they get so warm in the summer so a proper air con unit is a must and worth every Penny.

Nothing in our loft! current loft hatch so tiny and inaccessible that it’s almost impossible to get anything up there. Most of our storage is in our garage. To be honest, I get rid of baby clothes etc as just can’t store it all anyway, so either gave it to friends or sold at car boot sales.

We have two lofts and had one converted into an en-suite double bedroom last year.

We are in a conservation area so we're not able to have a dormer window fitted.

We love the room - I think it's my favourite one now in the house.

We never have any problems with it being too hot - maybe it’s because the sun never shines in the foot of the Pennines.😂

We do actually have 3 windows in there with a vent in each one which we can leave open and on the rare occasion that the sun is out and hot we just open them right up.

I'm in West London and believe me it gets so warm in my loft conversion that during the summer I use the air con quite a lot and not just on the hottest days. It's also nice closing all the windows and putting the air con on when a neighbour is having a garden party in the summer to keep most of the noise out

I have one which is designed as an annexe - has a bedroom, full kitchen, living area and bathroom upstairs! Took 4 weeks from start to finish (kitchen took an extra 2 weeks) and the company we used were fantastic.

We had our loft converted into a bedroom, ensuite and dressing room a couple of years ago.

My biggest tip would be to plan, plan, plan. It sounds obvious but I’m definitely someone for detail and planning the littlest detail has really paid off. For example we have plug sockets in various places around the bedroom so we can have the bed in two different positions. We also have two aerial points so we can move the TV. Our dressing room is in the sloping ceiling part so we installed two of the biggest velux windows you can have so it’s a usable my 6ft 3 DH.

The mess is a nightmare but short lived and the reward is definitely worth it.

Good luck
