Feb Flights cancelled

Hi
I had the Email from BA yesterday cancelling our Feb flights to Tampa - they have changed it to LHR to MCO instead but Im just going to ask for a refund. Been on hold forever yesterday and this morning... there is a form online, anyone on here used that to apply for a refund? Only issue I can see if they ask if it was your payment card but it was paid by my husbands paypal but he was travelling, just wondering if its better to speak to someone... eventually.
Thanks

Try the live chat option, that's what I did instead of calling. It's an automated bot at first but eventually there's an option to connect to an agent.

OP we’re in the same position as you re BA February flights LGW/TPA being cancelled. They’ve re-routed the return leg to MCO/LHR which would be fine for us BUT we have no outbound flight at all now 😂. I wasn’t expecting this trip to go ahead anyway, and have already cancelled down our DVC accommodation booking, so I’ll give it a day or so and phone them to get them to process our refund. I guess one of these days if I keep booking one of these trips will happen? ! 😃 🤞

This was our re-booked flights from July, we had a week off Feb so thought well it will be warmer over there than here so why not ... oh well not sure now when we will go prob end of next year. We were going 19-26 Feb. Hope you get hold of them, I have manged to have a conversation with a real person on twitter as most of yesterday couldn't get through on phone, he is looking into it for me now... hopefully. Hope you get yours all sorted. Fingers crossed for a trip in the near future for you.

Syber32 I’ve just received a text from BA with a link to options, including accepting flight(s), rebooking, voucher or refund. If they don’t hear from me within 2 days they’ll just process my refund 👍. Can’t fault BA this is the 4th trip now that we’ve lost to darn Covid and they’ve refunded in full without hassle on each occasion. This is a flydrive booking if that makes any difference.
Good luck to you Syber32.

I've just been playing about with Skyscanner to work out how far Virgin have got with their cancellations. The earliest I was offered a direct flight to Orlando for was 4th Feb., so just over two months out.

That's great, I dint get that message but maybe because they had booked me on to alternative flights. I gave up on the phone and contacted them via Twitter and managed to get a real person reply so he is going to process the refund for me. BA generally I find are very good - we did accept a voucher for a Holiday earlier in year but it was just a deposit so not a lot but hopefully will use this towards a trip to DLP as soon as we can...
