The councils cannot afford to have to pay back all the fines.

so how much is it now going to cost us if we take children out of school?

I'm assuming this means the rules that are in effect now continue to be (i.e. Parents risk a fine if they take a child out in term time), or does this mean new rules will come into effect following this ruling?
