We’ve had to book the premier inn on airport way for £57 on non flex as the north terminal one was over £100 non flex for our date!

We did the bloc and i couldnt recomend it more, we got the room from booking.com less than £60.0 and ncp valet parking for £90.0 (took a bit of fafing about to get a discount code) and thats 3weeks parking. We stayed at little foxes last year weel out of the way off site, that was over £140 plus £30.0 rtn for taxis. Ill be doing the bloc again next year.

I booked the travelodge that is super close. You can get a shuttle there that takes a couple of minutes (I think you have to pay for it) and the room only cost us £20 to book in advance.
Nothing luxurious but it’s only for a night!

quote.. Can't say for certain as we always drive but Google Maps says there's a Gatwick train station. Don't know how much of a walk though.

Answer.

Gatwick train station is in the South Terminal and right next to the Monorail system that moves every few minutes.. and takes just a few minutes to deliver you to North terminal.

With such an efficient and timely system, it is quicker than most travelators that I have been on that take me to remote aircraft gates. As a consequence, it does not matter (imho), whether you hotel is a Gatwick N or S.

When you exit Gatwick N terminal, it is directly beneath that monorail arrival point. A 60M walk puts you in Premier Inn, Gatwick N. A further 100m walk behind that puts you at Premier Inn, Gatwick N, Airport way.

I always use one or other and generally prefer the one further away as it has a less busy restaurant (but no aircon). It is generally around £5 cheaper to reflect this.

Hope it helps.

I'm in a minority who doesn't like the Premier Inn North Terminal. Much prefer the Hilton (new refurbished section/room), Hampton by Hilton or Sofitel.

It’s coming up pretty pricey for my dates or else I’d have booked that
I’ve gone for the premier inn next to the airport, coming in on the train I want to be nearby for easiness.

It says on the website a 3 min walk to the terminal. Is that true? Is it an easy walk with cases?

We have used various hotels over the years from small independent places to the Holiday Inn but now go to either the premier Inn or Travelodge, rooms are good, theres a bar and somewhere to eat and the breakfasts are better in our opinion than in the airport
