Great British Bake Off: 2020

We love it but really worries about Matt Lucas. He seemed a little domineering and I didn’t feel the need for a sketch at the start. I preferred them just being silly outside the tent as in the past.

I was surprised to like Noel when he started so maybe Matt will surprise me.

It was nice to just watch something where they could act normally. We are also watching masterchef Australia and when they can’t hug or high five it’s really sad.

Matt definitely got too much airtime but hoping it's just giving him a bit of extra spotlight being his first show and it'll reach a better balance in future weeks. I'm not a huge fan of his though.

Thought the show-stopper was a bit hard for the first week challenge, all seemed to struggle with it. But putting them into a bubble so the format can be kept normal was a great idea.

You are not alone! I hate that addition since it went to C4, Jo Brand is perfectly capable of hosting the whole show by herself.

I really thought that Rowan should have gone last night - he's been terrible both weeks, by far the worst - so bad I wonder if they're keeping him in for entertainment!

I find him entertaining but agree he could have gone. I wondered if it was because Mak(?) had not really followed the final task properly in that rather than doing a mould, he built up flat shapes.

Unless Rowan shifts up his game, I fear his cards are marked

I’m not a fan of Dave, he definitely did well this week but I find him quite smug and unlikable 🤷🏻 especially after how he reacted to Sura last week after she apologised for knocking his cakes.

Not sure who my favourite is yet!
