Our house just got egged

Sat watching television tonight and we heard three very loud bangs, initially my husband said it might be fireworks but I said no, it felt like something hit the house, went outside to look, and three eggs have been thrown at our windows. Such mindless behaviour I am sure its just kids pranking, but its still really unsettling. Luckily they didnt get my new front door or I really would have lost my mind.

Some may call it mischievous night (infact tomorrow but a night early) others (me included ) call it mindless thugs causing vandalism.

It will just be kids. I’m sure this went on a lot near bonfire night last year. As long as no damage done, just clean up and try to forget about it. It won’t be personal, just random x

Mindless idiots. I can remember this happening to our house when I was a child (around Halloween) even though my mum had given out money and a few kitkats in the fridge (we didn’t have huge tubs of sweets). It was the kids she gave the choc & money to who then egged us anyway. I can remember my parents being absolutely furious.

Thanks all. I have just been out (in my Primark pyjamas) and cleaned most of it off, have texted window cleaner to see if he can come urgently. Its just not a nice feeling.

Thank you for the door compliments, we waited 5 months for it to be fitted, was our lockdown treat in lieu of holidays!

As for the eggs... thats happened to us, once at our old house came over into the garden on a sunny day. Luckily didnt hit anyone. Then in this house one or two were thrown at the top window (ds room) so it may have been for him. But he wasnt bullied or anything so I think it wouldve been a "joke"...it came off the window but was on the brick work for months and months..but it is a 3 story house and it was right at the top.
In my first house it was a small end of terrace that the doors opened straight onto the pavement. We had ivory curtains up and one night heard some funny noises. Had a look out the front door but couldnt see anything... next morning when i went out someone had drawn in marker pen on the window (glass only thankfully) the biggest cartoon "member" you can imagine! Thankfully it cleaned off fairly quickly and nothing else happened ever.
