Virtual Queue To Enter A Website

I have noticed a few times since this Virus started that some Websites you have to enter a virtual queue and move along until they let you shop.

I could live with that in these weird times at the start, not now.

Today however is Black Friday and my Daughter is looking for a certain perfume

Boots have a good Promo on so I went to check

Virtual queue!

My view is if you cannot invest in your website I'm off. So Boots have lost my business. Tough.

Do others get frustrated at this or is it just weird me

Annoys me too , I don’t want to sit waiting to enter a website to buy something

I know when GAME released the new XBox the waits ran into hours .

Last week I went onto the Dyson website because I am having problems with my cordless vacuum which is still under warranty and it stated I was number 65,905 in the queue.

Frustrated, a bit, but I’m guessing it’s not worth investing in the systems needed to cope for these infrequent sale times.

But, if you’re happy to go elsewhere and perhaps pay more, then it helps to free up the sites

NO way do I join a queue virtual or otherwise. It’s my money and if they wannt my business they make me welcome or I go elsewhere - recently ordered some furniture that I new JL stocked but they had a virtual queue at their store - well I ordered online form the manufacturer direct. Saved me from joining a virtual queue at Peter Jones and it was a little but cheaper too - cash is king

Ocado was like that a lot during the first lockdown, it was annoying but I can also imagine that they had a very sudden increase in demand. I would have thought Boots could have done a bit better, I have just joined their queue to see and it took six minutes.

To be honest I struggle with the Boots website at the best of times!
I'm not sure if it's because I use my mobile but it takes so long for the pages to load sometimes that I end up really frustrated!

Mr T there is a virtual queue but it got me on very quick after about a minute, if you want to try again. Might as well get your dd her perfume and see her face light up on Christmas Day

No drama here at all.

I'm sitting at a computer with multiple tabs open - it costs me nothing in terms of time and money to flick to another tab and check back every few minutes.

If this is the worst thing that happens to you today, you're one of life's lucky people.

That my experience as well. Mrs Morrow sometimes buys the No7 stuff. Takes ages for the pages to load and that seems to be the norm.
