Bus from Disney Springs to Parks
Just read that they are starting this from the end of August from 4pm onwards (on WDW info). Will be useful for us I think. I do wonder if this means they will start charging for parking at Disney Springs though?

I've read it too and I thought exactly the same as you - parking charges coming to DS ?

Would be better to charge the people using the buses to the parks than charge to park up ( apart from guest staying at Disney as I'm sure they get free transport anyway) but I wouldn't put it past them to put parking charges there soon this will help recover some of the $$$$'s they just spent down there

No, they're not running buses from Disney Springs to the parks, only from the parks to Disney Springs from 4pm- 11pm. If you wanted to go DS to MK, you would still have to get a resort bus. From wdwmagic.om
EDIT: wdwnt and easywdw are also reporting that it's a one way only service. Edited at 07:55 PM. |

Last time I was there 2 years ago I admit I got very annoyed by the fact that I could never find anywhere to park at Downtown Disney as it was then, because so many people were parking there then going to the parks to avoid the car park fees. To my mind anything that cuts down on this is advantageous to Disney of course but also means people like myself wanting to spend an evening at DS can at least have a fighting chance of getting a parking space.

Thanks, it was worded differently where I read it (or I read it wrong! ). It makes much more sense that way It'll be good for us as we like to pop to DS after the parks and we don't have a car.

We went in 2014 and it was the same at the nights couldn't park up anywhere ended up near some character audition place however I do believe that was due to all the work being done around down town Disney at the time. From what I've read on here there is a new car park which I'm hoping makes it better to park up at.
