API help: Names on ESTA, tickets and API?

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for your help!
Getting myself totally muddled with this somehow!
Okay so, flying BA - booked directly with them. They don't do middle names when you book tickets - I know because I worried about this last time, so I called them to confirm. So, no middle names on e-tickets.
ESTAs of course, don't take middle names either, so no middle names there.
Just sat down to do our API and it's asking for "All Given Names (as shown on passport)" - so that means I do put middle names here, right?
Have I done something wrong?

Correct. If it's asking for all given names as on passport you would put your middle name in that field as well as your first name.

Yep all fine! That's how it's always been for us and never encountered any issues. It is strange that it's wanted for some things and not others but that's just how it is for some reason.

Thanks so much, I figured that must be the case but for some reason just couldn't remember - which is worrying as I flew BA less than a year ago so I must have done it then!

Middle names are basically ignored. Mine is on passport but not on esta or api. All it means is first and surname must match.
