I’m in Belfast & ive just booked Dublin to Gatwick with Aer Lingus then Gatwick to MCO with Virgin, we’ve done this route on a through ticket many times as it’s always the cheaper option.

At the moment I think Virgin only fly on Sunday from Belfast to Orlando in August.
We are planning on going with United from Dublin next August but when I was checking their website I found I could get a quote, although it was more expensive, from Belfast to Orlando. This was flying from the City Airport to London and then onwards. I think Aer Lingus was the codeshare and then United from London to Newark to Orlando.

Have flown via Dublin indirect many times with BA, AL, Delta, AA... All flights generally good. Usually stayed overnight and parked car at Clayton/Bewley's. Only chose Dublin because they were always cheaper than Belfast flights. Drive back home from Dublin after overnight flight is very challenging. We are always tied to school holidays. This year however, we got direct from Belfast with Virgin Atlantic from 5th July to 19th July. Flights were £520. Booked Economy Classic so includes luggage and seat selection. Booked car through Andy at DFCH. He has been great to deal with.

Same as above- got virgin direct this year for £534 each. 5-26th July. It is only the second time we will be going direct from Belfast- last time was Airtours 20 years ago for our honeymoon! Since then we have done continental (united) via New York with a few days there as a stop over, Aer Lingus direct from Dublin which was a glitch as you could book on the united website in dollars earlier than the aer lingus site (found glitch on the dibb) , from Dublin via lgw and manchester and then virgin direct. Ideally I choose whatever is cheapest without really long layovers and don’t mind going from Dublin and like the wee stay at the airport the night before.

Hiya we live out towards Ards and head out in 2 weeks. We nearly always try and go via Dublin so we can preclear. Have used United before and they are rubbish so avoid at all costs. Using American Airlines who codeshare with BA and paid £1300 each for premium economy flights, 2 week car hire and 4 nights onsite universal hotel. Worth checking them to see what deals they have on.
