We are booked for nearly 4 weeks, and will probably cancel the disney element and just have a villa holiday. So yes we will get tested if necessary beforehand (hoping DH and I will have vaccines as over 50) but kids wont.
If we have to isolate I will happily stay in the villa and just enjoy sunshine and pool. Of course, that's if the flight does not get cancelled and the US borders do the above... |

I'm pretty confident we will be going in Aug. The rate our vaccines are going we'll have 100% of adults receiving at least 1 jab by end of July.
US putting extra restrictions in place now is only a good thing. Its something Trump didn't do but should have, but is a positive step as it will hopefully reduce covid cases over there. This along with their step up in vaccination role out means in 6 months we'll be in a very good place compared to now and I can see things opening up for the sake of saving travel companies. |

My concern is that the borders either way are opened, but quarantining is mandatory but travel companies don’t cancel the holidays. Where would you stand then?

We booked for 29th September 2021 (flights only)for 3 weeks back in November 2019. We had last years holiday cancelled and refunded by TUI. We lost our villa deposit, but at least got flight cost back. In all honesty, I can't see this year going ahead as both here and the US are in a bad way. Hopefully things will improve and we'll get to go, but it will be a different holiday experience.

I'm 60/40 in favor atm.
I was more confident before christmas, just hoping the vaccine is given out as fast as possible, and there isn't any more bad news regarding mutations of the virus. We are due to go in August/September. have got all my fingers and toes crossed!

We had planned last July, then moved to November, moved again to March, and now July. Thinking the best option would now be boxing day 26th Dec after we have the vaccine and can relax more. Wife is a school teacher and 2021/2022 Xmas holidays run until 10th Jan in Scotland. Fingers crossed.

I hope so, my March was cancelled, so booked my flights for Oct, but if I’m honest I think this year will be a rerun of last year😞 I truly hope I am wrong.

My current opinion is this (I am not an expert by any means):
Feb, March, April- 0% May, June- 25% (with restrictions, tests etc so basically not worth it) July, August- 55% (I think by July our deaths and even USA deaths will have plummeted with at least 3/4 of the population vaccinated in both countries so there is a chance, but probably need a test before flying) Sept/Oct- 75% (I am still fairly confident you'll be able to travel to US by this point, I doubt you'd have to quarantine on either side but probably still need a test/masks) Nov/Dec- 90% (Masks and possible testing still needed? But unless there's another variant of COVID which makes cases blow up again (lets hope not) then I can see the borders being open by this point). |

As long as there is no need to quarantine either side we’ll go. Accept there will likely be testing and restrictions still. I still feel fairly confident about August.
