Can I request to avoid a car model
I have a group s SUV rental booked with Budget...ford explorer or similar. Will be driving up from Miami to Orlando up one coast and back down the other. Their fleet looks good for category except the Ford Flex. Not liking the look of it at all! Can I request a model or to avoid a model. Know I can't skip to garage and choose like Alamo but at a difference of £500 I thought I'd take my chances with Budget!

What you get is what you get with all the companies even Alamo where you can pick your own but with them you are limited to what is there.
I don't subscribe to a tip to get an upgrade but I do find a tip to one of the garage Guys tends to get me what I want in the class I booked. The Ford Flex - My God who designed that. Reminds me of a crumpled cardboard box.

We had too! Well just Orlando. We received a free upgrade as they didn't have our booked class. Imagine our disappointment 😔. It was either take it or the booking would be cancelled
This was with Alamo, four points office

Getting Excited

I was given a ford flex 2 years ago, although its an ugly looking beast it was one of the most comfortable cars/SUV's I've had when I've been in the States. They are much more roomy than a conventional SUV.
Who's going to know it's you driving it out there. it would be a different story if I had to park it on my drive at home. |

The Ford Flex manufacture ceased in November 2020 so the chances of getting one will become less and less.

I had heard it's a pretty comfortable drive...just awful too look at! Let's just say I prefer their other vehicles. Hopefully if they are no longer being manufactured then by summer they'll have moved on theirs from their fleet. It's at the very bottom of my worry list for summer if I'm honest but still trying to tick the boxes just incase
