Is MIA as bad as people say?!

We have flown into MIA on Thanksgiving eve and are coming home through MIA this year ( fingers crossed )
Thanksgiving was busy but there were plenty of officers directing people and nothing stands out that it was a problem.
MCO autumn 2019 was far worse in my opinion, we have had plenty of good and bad arrivals in MCO !

We have flown in and out of MIA a number of times and never had an issue. It was a pain when you had to queue for a shuttle to the car hire centre. We are hopefully flying into MIA at the end of Sept.

I think MIA is great we have flown there a few times and never had a problem and immigration has always been quick.

We waited longer to clear immigration in Tampa in 2019 than we did in Miami 2016/2018. Never had an issues, security can be a bit abrupt when flying home but I’ve usually got the grumps anyway so makes no odds to me. Always friendly with the kids. There are toilets before you get to the immigration hall so if we need to go we go then. Flying again into there next year.

We’re flying into Miami this august, and have used there, mco and Tampa the last few visits. Miami has been by far the quickest for immigration each time we’ve flown there.

We tend to fly from there Memorial weekend which is pretty busy but still not had any issues then.

We flew into Tampa last February and were looking forward to getting out quickly as so many had told us that it’s the quickest to get out of. Two hours after we landed the luggage finally made it to the hall 😭🤷

MIA is fine. Don't be put off by it. Have flown in and a a lot of times.
