How to book Yosemite valley lodge?
Hi, I’ve just been trying to look at availability for next August for Yosemite valley lodge for a family room for 4ad 1ch. I’m just a bit confused how to book it as I can’t find any rooms available via Expedia or booking.com . There is a website called nationalparksreservations where if I fill in my details and credit card it will submit a enquiry but I’m just hesitant of doing that before I know if the room is available and at what price.
Just wondered how everyone else books this hotel? I know it gets booked up early. There was two sites called Orel.com and love holidays but they both got appalling reviews so I don’t want to book through a dodgy site to turn up and there’s no room for us! |

I booked on the following site: travelyosemite/lodgi...ng-experience/
You’re right to look at this time of year though. We booked 10 months in advance and options were limited, with not all summer dates available.

Ah thank you, looks like they are already booked up for my dates for a room for 5.. Only had two smaller rooms to accommodate us but it’s double the cost. I will have a look at some alternate accommodation, didn’t realise that they sell out so quick!

I booked a family room at Yosemite Valley Lodge for next August last week - there’s 5 of us too. Via travelyosemite/
I originally wanted to start the holiday in Yosemite so we’d be able to take advantage of the jet lag and early mornings and see the sunrises, but they had no family rooms left when I went to book - so I’ve switched plans around to end the holiday with Yosemite instead When I booked the website stated my booking wouldn’t be complete until they confirmed availability and that could be up to 24hrs later - but the email arrived fairly quickly. I only paid a deposit via this site too and not the full amount upfront which another site had wanted I hope you find something suitable for you and your family |

We are five and stayed there for three nights in mid August this year. I booked on 13 October last year and there was every date available. It could be that bookings are up from last year but I'd keep checking. We did one of the tours and the guide said visitor numbers had gone up one million during the previous 12 months. I don't know if that's accurate but if it is it would explain availability being less.

Thanks for all your replies, still couldn’t get a room for 5 at Yosemite valley lodge so I’ve booked Yosemite view lodge instead for 2 nights on a cancellable rate so will just keep checking for cancellations in the meantime. Yosemite view lodge looks ok and got it for £405 for bigger room for 5 of us.
