Epic Universe to open in 2023

Apparently earlier today a Comcast representative confirmed that Universal’s new theme park - Epic Universe - will be opening sometime in 2023. So in 4 years time. Sadly there was no indication when in 2023 it is planned to open.

That is all.

Dang, I was hoping Nintendo Land was going to be ready in 2021. At least it gives me something new to look forward to for another holiday!

and how much of the space do you think Disney will buy between the 2 areas for marketing purposes as universal busses drive between the 2 areas?

It is on Universal Blvd. But on the southern part of it, a few miles south of where the current Universal parks are (which are also on Universal Blvd).

Does it really need to? I mean, I think everyone visiting Orlando knows that there are Disney parks there. And it’s not like Disney needs to attract any more visitors - their parks are crowded enough as it is.

I don’t think Disney will buy any land between the two. However I’m sure there are advertising signs and placards along the way and Disney may rent advertising space on them, similar to how it does on the I4 near Universal.
