Does your council charge for collection of bulky items ?

Following in from comments in the ‘ old sofa’ thread , I was intrigued that it appears some councils pick up big items for free

Ours charges £36 for up to 5 items

bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=10823

What about yours ?

Leeds CC charge £20
leeds.gov.uk/residents/b...unwanted-items

But they also charge to use the refuse sites for some items and your vehicle has to display a LCC refuse site permit to gain access. We were charged £20 to dispose of our sink and toilet - £5 per item and the sink and pedestal and bowl and cistern all counted as one item each.
