Anyone who is considering cancelling August?

If you cancel or get cancelled where else would you re-book for?

We had 4 trips cancelled last year but managed to sneak away to Rhodes at very late notice which was better than I thought it would be, does anyone think anywhere in Europe will be open?

We aren’t rebooking anything for this year. Especially not in the uk, where the prices are absolutely overpriced. Just saving a bit extra for next year now.

We won’t cancel, we’ll wait for it to be cancelled. Then we’ll rebook for April/May next year…I think. Or maybe hold on to the money until later on. Depends what prices are like as well I guess.

So sick of changing it after getting cancelled!

i have vegas mid way through september which im fairly confident about. unfortunately as its a 50th celebration, my 12yr old cant make it.

im thinkin of adding a week on in september and bringing him over. might take the chance to do area 51 and travel over to LA for a couple of nights.

If aug is cancelled we will try and book Spain or something I think if they’re still accepting us. I won’t be going on a “staycation” that’s for sure.

Just out of interest … why are people so against holidaying in this country this year?

Because what is on offer is overpriced and there’s no way I’m paying over the odds to holiday here just for the sake of getting away.
I have no issue with U.K. breaks but that’s in normal times and not when these companies see us as shooting fish in a barrel.

Fair enough, but I’m sure you would’ve spent an awful lot more going to Florida and our economy could do with the help!

We’ve had a week in St Ives and it was beautiful. We had a really good time and needed the break. Yes, it wasn’t Florida but cost us 10x less! We’ve been a few times over the past few years and our cottage this time was the cheapest we have had, so not everywhere are increasing prices and tbh, who could blame them if they do.. it’s sink or swim for most I’m sure. I doubt they are rubbing their hands together but rather grateful they are still surviving! I’m happy to pay a bit more to help them recover because ultimately, it will affect us all.
