Advice please Independence of the seas cabins Ocean view deck 2 or Interior deck 6/7 art or forward
Hi we're looking at booking a short cruise on Independence of the seas only sailed P O before and balcony rooms,
Would need to be Ocean view cabins grades 2N and 3N on deck 2, what's is it like that low down? And how big are the Windows? Or looking at Interior rooms grade 3V and 4V deck 6/7 towards the back of front anyone stayed in these can you hear noise from the promenade at night ? Do you feel any movement of the ship? only stayed mid ship before Thanks

I’d go interior for a short cruise.
Deck 2 is low down and I find too far away from everything ! Eg buffet and pool. If winter cruise this may not matter as much. Look on the deck plan and see where you are likely to be during the day. If kids with you the club, sports deck etc is on upper decks a long way from deck 2 for when you have to go back for forgotten things or collect them. I find outside window on deck 2 doesn’t give much of a view just water with salt misting the window plus in port you may have to draw curtain or you will be on view! If you want to see the sea find a window in the bar or lounge areas rather than cabin. TV in cabin has a web cam if you want to see if it’s light or what the weather is like. We were on deck 9 last summer so not sure about location and promenade noise but have sailed lots of time and noise is usually from directly outside or doors of neighbouring cabins. Hope this helps. Gillian.
