Ticket start date

Hi
We are travelling for 23 nights in August, we have 21 night Disney tickets with our hotel, our first 16 nights are on site. I want to use our tickets on our last full day (friday) if we didn't use the tickets on our first full day but used them for the first time on our 2nd day would they run for 21 nights from 1st use (I.e the Friday) or is it 21nights from check in?
