It entirely depends where you live (as to transport). We live in the lake district so we tend to drive to Hull, take the overnight (sleeping cabin) ferry to Zeebrugge docks after breakfast), then drive to our hotel to arrive before lunch.
If you live in the South then seriously think about driving your own car if you are at DCR - you can load the car up with whatever you want and after you have driven to an airport, checking in, flown, landed, got your baggage, car and driven to DCR you could probably have driven to the chunnel, got off the train and driven to DCR in the same time. The route is easy, the toll roads are well constructed and (usually) queue free. The fun starts when you pass CDG (which you will need to do in any event). |
