Disney Magic - which deck/location?

I know a lot of this is personal preference/financial position but is there much difference in a room on deck 6 or 7? Or whether it’s front, middle or back? There are 3 of us in the group, me, DH and DS (13) and we’re hoping to be cruise newbies. Thanks S x

We pick a cabin on a deck with other cabins above and below.
The middle costs more but has less movement if you are prone to motion sickness. We tend to pick a cabin at the front so there are less people walking past! We like quiet!
Doesn’t matter which side unless you are on a transatlantic, then you need the sunny side!

Thanks for replying, hadn’t thought about whether it was better to have rooms or something else above/below. I’ll check the floor plans

We didn’t get to choose which deck we were on but we picked a room near the lifts. For better or worse...might be noisy with the doors opening and closing at all hours but at least we’ll be able to get where we need to be quickly!

I’m looking at the DCL website which shows which rooms are available. Funnily enough most of them are around the lifts. I did think it would be handy to be near some stairs, I’m not great at waiting for lifts and I think I may need the exercise after a couple of days lol x

Hi
Are you going for an inside, ocean view or veranda room? Determining that would help for my recommendations. I would personally rather stay near a lift than the laundry, especially the back sides of the lifts as there's no noise there.

Let us know what type of room you're after and we can go from there.

Joa

Hi, definitely verandah and on the previous advice looks like deck 7 would be good to keep cabins above and below. Most of the cabins left are on the port side and we’re looking at north Europe cruise to Amsterdam etc in August. Any advice/tips greatly appreciated, thank you.

Now, this is strange as I prefer to not be under other staterooms as you get to hear people stomping about at all hours (if they are stompers!)

Under the public decks are my least favourite place, then next to or opposite laundries. Other than that, every place is lovely!
