Halloween/Christmas dates 2019
Hi!
BFF and I have visited DLP at Christmas for the past 2 years and although this has been truly magical, we're feeling drawn by the reports of super low crowds on the week between the Halloween season ending and the Christmas season beginning. (In 2018 ED92 on Twitter was reporting 10 minute waits for BTM during this week!) Does anybody know when they usually release the dates of their special events, or if they follow a pattern every year and can be reliably predicted? We're keen to do this trip on the cheap so want to get on the lookout for the best deals ASAP! Also, if you've visited during this in-between week, I'd love to hear if the crowds really are as low as I've heard! |

I've been in early November a couple of times, once was in the "changeover" period ie 1st November for 4 days. Yes, its very quiet at DLP midweek that week, but the same can be said for pretty much any midweek dates in November.
The problem you have with that "changeover" week is that not all the Xmas programme gets up and running as soon as Halloween is over. Xmas season at DLP typically begins the 2nd full week of November (so anytime from 7th-ish onwards you'd be safe for all the Xmas programme, and avoid the 11th, especially if thats a Thursday, Friday or Monday, as Armistice day is a public holiday in France and typically a very busy day at DLP). Personally, because Halloween and Xmas seasons are my favourite times to visit DLP, I'd go midweek in either early-mid October (for Halloween season low crowds) or mid-late November (for Xmas season low crowds). I've done both of those quite a few times over the years, loved loved loved them . Edited at 09:39 AM. |
